CASE 07011 CHESTNUT BONE TRAPPER

This Trapper model has a chestnut brown jigged bone handle. Originally designed for fur trappers (hence the name), the knife includes two blades of equal lengths. The clip point blade is intended for everyday cutting such as slicing food, cutting twine, whittling, etc. The Spey blade, as its name implies, was designed for speying animals, a process that requires a very specific cut, without cutting anything else. The design is excellent for precise cuts. For over a century, the Trapper knife has been a staple everyday carry knife. This knife is constructed with our chrome vanadium (CV) steel. Some knife lovers will settle for nothing less than chrome vanadium blades, since this special formula of alloyed steel is the “original” Case blade steel. Case chrome vanadium blades are known for their edge-holding ability and easy re-sharpening. However, they are less resistant to rusting, pitting and discoloration than stainless steel. We recommend keeping a thin film of oil on the blade to maintain the finish.
