There’s a lot to learn from the past, but some things are better today. The Downwind Series is Gerber’s nod to the aesthetics of the past, married with the materials of the modern-day. Layered machined G10 scales provide a grip that increases when wet or bloody while delivering a traditional look. Subtle jimping on the spine and positive control choils throughout the hand ergonomics empowers users to maintain a certain control over the knife. A tall grind is excellent for delivering clean cuts. The Downwind Series is housed in waxed canvas sheaths, paying homage to the tools of our forefathers.
